Field Trip Policy

Northstar is committed to extending the community building and learning of our students by periodically going on educational/cultural field trips.

Field Trip Attendance
All students are expected to attend field trips, this is part of their extended learning experience.  Exceptions are illness or a family emergency

Field Trip Permission Slips
Field Trip permission slips must be turned in no later than the deadline listed. This is extremely important. It is very hard for our staff to say "No, sorry, it's too late," but transportation is ordered and tickets are bought based on our student count.

If the field trip permission slip is not turned in on time, the student will not be able to attend the field trip.

Chaperoning
Parents interested in chaperoning the end of year trip will need to have chaperoned other field trips prior to May. The chaperones for this trip are chosen from those who have been chaperones during the year.

Scholarships
Full and partial scholarships are available for field trips due to family hardship.
