Hi! I’m Crysta Cady, the Behavioral Health Support Specialist (BHSS) from Youth Eastside Services who works with Northstar, and the other schools on campus. As a BHSS, I work with the school to address mental health and substance use patterns that arise throughout the school year. I do short-term individual mental health counseling, group counseling, classroom presentations, general consultation with staff and families, and other fun activities.
I love what I do, and feel honored every day to get to work with amazing youth and families. I am very excited to be back with Northstar this year. I have enjoyed growing up in the Pacific Northwest, and am known to engage in those “PNW” activities such as camping, hiking, and lots of days spent at the lake in the summer. I have a dog named Gretchen, who I am obsessed with. I love coffee, painting, and cooking.
***Covid-19 Services – How to connect with Crysta***
During remote learning I am still available to work with students and families. If you would like to connect for support, general consultation, or you want to participate in sessions with me this year, you can give me a call at 425-747-4937 extension 2807. Please just leave a message with your name and number, and I will return you call as soon as I am able.
During remote learning, I am also holding virtual drop-in office hours via Zoom every Friday from 2pm-4pm. Students, as well as caregivers, can sign up at the link below:
Please note that this semester, there will not be office hours on the following days: November 27th, December 25th, and January 1st.
Northstar students are also welcome to join for Lunch Bunch Thursdays, which everyone received an invite within their Teams. This is just meant to be a social space for students to play games and connect with each other during remote learning.
