Hi! I’m Crysta Cady, the Behavioral Health Support Specialist (BHSS) from Youth Eastside Services who works with Northstar, and the other schools on campus. As a BHSS, I work with the school to address mental health and substance use patterns that arise throughout the school year. I do short-term individual mental health counseling, group counseling, classroom presentations, general consultation with staff and families, and other fun activities.

I love what I do, and feel honored every day to get to work with amazing youth and families. I am very excited to be back with Northstar this year. I have enjoyed growing up in the Pacific Northwest, and am known to engage in those “PNW” activities such as camping, hiking, and lots of days spent at the lake in the summer. I have a dog named Gretchen, who I am obsessed with. I love coffee, painting, and cooking.

Northstar students are also welcome to join Lunch Bunch on Thursdays in Janet's classroom. We meet during lunch time (12:10-12:45pm). This is meant to be a social space for students to play games and connect with each other.
